Liebe Tischfußball-Vereine und Spieler*innen,
wie ihr wohl alle mitbekommen habt, hat in den letzten Tagen die Bundesregierung und die Gesellschaft reagiert: Die Devise ist, soziale Kontakte weitestgehend zu minimieren, um die Ausbreitung des "Corona"-Virus "SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19 oder "Corona") Virus einzudämmen.
Die Tischfußball-Community hat sich weitestgehend mit diesem Vorgehen solidarisiert: In der letzten Woche haben alle Landesverbände den Spielbetrieb eingestellt und die Vereine stellen den Trainingsbetrieb ein. Der ITSF hat ebenfalls heute eine Info Meldung an seine Mitglieds-Verbände geschickt, siehe unten.
Wann und wie es dann mit den sportlichen Wettbewerben des DTFBs weiter geht, können wir momentan selbstverständlich noch nicht sagen. Und wir denken, dass in den nächsten Wochen erst mal andere Dinge für euch und euer Umfeld wichtig sind.
Beachtet die allgemeinen Schutzmaßnahmen der Gesundheitsämter, bleibt gesund, redet miteinander und helft denjenigen, die jetzt Hilfe brauchen -- und habt Geduld. Je früher wir es gemeinsam schaffen, das Virus einzudämmen, desto eher können wir alle unseren Sport wieder aufnehmen.

Subject: Clarifications on tournament organisation - covid19
Dear Federation Members,
Considering the current situation caused by the global pandemic of Covid-19, the ITSF will adapt its operating process. ITSF is a sporting organisation, not a government or medical organisation, and beyond sensible precautions, we strongly advise member federations to follow national guidelines when deciding if and when any
tournaments should be held, postponed or cancelled. As different countries are affected at different times it is inappropriate for ITSF to mandate a period of suspension or resumption of competitive foosball.
However we believe it is important that organisers do not feel pressured to hold events when it would be inappropriate or potentially dangerous to do so.
Accordingly for the remainder of 2020 the ITSF Sport Rules will temporarily be relaxed to reduce the minimum notice period, allowing organisers the maximum degree of flexibility:
- Pro-Tour – 14 days
- Master Series – 21 days
- WCS – 30 days
Additionally should cancellation of a pro-tour event result in the quota of master series to pro-tour events to be exceeded the host federation would face no sanctions for doing so. However newly-arranged tournaments would still be subject to the quota rules.
This exceptional circumstances might have an effect on the usual sporting process (ranking, qualification rules…), the executive committee and sport commission will discuss regularly about those subjects in the light of developments in the world and keep you informed.
